Not many were surprised when Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth officially called off their engagement once and for all this week, especially not after all the reports about how mortified Liam was by his girlfriend’s infamous VMA performance. And even though Miley’s new controversial ways and Liam’s alleged affair with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez is a reason enough for a breakup, Hollywoodlife now reports that the main reason that the couple decided to go separate ways was that Liam couldn’t handle Miley’s success and a bad case of jealousy was a root cause to the split.
“Miley isn’t the type of girl that’s going to conform and be this perfect little girl for Liam or anybody else,” a source connected to the singer tells HollywoodLife.com . “It’s not her fault Liam couldn’t handle that. It’s called showbiz for a reason and Miley understands that and will put on a show and could care less about the reactions.” The source ends by saying that both parts is moving on and doing fine despite the circumstances.
